One thing I love about plant-based eating is this: it’s low in calories so you can eat a little more without gaining weight. It’s perfect for menopausal women like me, because we tend to gain a bit of pounds because of our hormones.
But more than this, I love that I get all the vitamins, minerals, nutrients, anti-oxidants and healthy fats from good sources. Eating plant-based keeps your risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and some kinds of cancers low.
Going into this way of eating, I’ve had a boost in energy. I love that I can do activities and exercises without getting tired easily. I’m not “hangry” as I used to be and my mood is wonderful. I know you can feel so much better too!
